mii stands for Made in India, a brand created by a duo, Lucie and Bapan, who met at the School of Decorative Arts. They set up their manufacturing workshop in northeast Bengal, defending and promoting these unique, ancestral skills that were in danger of disappearing. All weaving is done in villages on traditional looms.
The Kaku La Provence bag is made of cotton, with patterns entirely hand-embroidered using the aari technique; the Kaku bag features symbols of Provence: tomatoes, vines, sunflowers, pine trees, and lemons.
