This project was initiated by Sylvie Demaizière
and Brigitte Benkemoun-Demaizière. Sylvie was a general manager
in cinema, Brigitte a journalist, writer and Arles native.

Together, the two "pretty sisters" wanted to create
a concept store that reinterprets the images, landscapes,
culture and traditional materials of Arles and the Camargue.
And since mosquitoes feed both birds
and conversations, it became obvious that the store would bear this name.

The MOSQUITO

Allows the Camargue to be Europe's largest nesting site

conversations
Cleans up ponds and roubines
Pollinates flowers
Drives away grumps
Prevents the urbanization of the coastline
Cultivates our difference
