The Barbotine workshop was founded 40 years ago and was recently taken over by two young enthusiasts of Aubagne pottery. They remain faithful to the spirit of the founder, Philippe Beltrando, and perpetuate the expertise and quality of traditional Provençal pottery. Each piece, whether it is a tian, a daubière, or a poumié, has a specific function in Provençal cooking.
The tian, also known as a bugadière, is a very ancient piece of popular Provençal pottery. In the past, it was used for everything, from carrying laundry to the washhouse to bathing a baby! Today, it is useful in the kitchen for mixing ingredients, preparing pastries, or setting aside cooked food... And on the table, it becomes a salad bowl with an elegant rusticity, perfectly suited to Provençal and Mediterranean cuisine. The diameter of this model is 15 cm.
