Description
TINJA white ceramics are handmade by women in Sejnan, northern Tunisia. These artisans have passed down their skills from mother to daughter for generations, a craft now inscribed by UNESCO on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. They achieve this patina by polishing the terracotta with seashells.
MOUSTIQUE has selected Tinja's more contemporary creations, finding in them the spirit of whitewashed walls and thatched roofs of gardian huts. This candlestick is 20 cm high, tapering upwards (bottom diameter: 43 cm & top diameter 14 cm).
