Marie-Laure Chamorel has a passion for "handmade" work. This graduate of the Duperré school, who spent time in the Alaïa, Kenzo, and Balmain workshops, knows what she is talking about. In 2006, she launched her jewelry line under her eponymous brand.

MOUSTIQUE was immediately drawn to her "textile jewelry," as she calls them. Pieces of incredible delicacy, inspired by the broderie anglaise and lace she hunted for at flea markets in Paris and New York. She designs her pieces in Paris, in her Marais studio, and has them crafted in Bali by local artisans.

This shimmering braided tie necklace in ruthenized silver measures 80 cm long when unfolded. The dark gray color of the ruthenium metal gives this piece a unique character. It ends with long tassels of chains and rhinestones, 4 cm in length. The necklace can be worn as a single wrap or as a scarf.
