Iris

"L'Iris" is the first Eau de Parfum created by Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella after more than 800 years of activity. At the heart of its creation is iris butter ("concreta d'iris") extracted from the flower's rhizomes: extremely precious, they mature after 6 years. As one of the most elegant powdery raw materials, it is combined with luminous top notes such as neroli, Timur pepper, and galbanum, and continues its journey into a floral heart of geranium, Sambac jasmine, and champaca magnolia. At its base is an iris of Florentine origin that tells the story of Florence through a journey of balanced olfactory unveiling. Conceived by creative perfumer Gian Luca Perris, L'Iris reinterprets the very history of Florence, of which this flower is still the symbol, celebrating its multiple and multifaceted aspects. But it also connects to the legend of the goddess Iris, messenger of the gods, and to a flower already present in Egyptian, Greek, and Latin civilizations. The transparent glass bottle houses a velvet label with the House's historic logo, and an engraved gold zamac alloy cap, which reflects its shapes. Available in 50 ml and 100 ml spray versions.
