Description
The Barbotine workshop was created 40 years ago and was recently taken over by two young enthusiasts of Aubagne pottery. They remain faithful to the spirit of the founder, Philippe Beltrando, and perpetuate the expertise and quality of traditional Provençal pottery. Each piece, whether a tian, a daubière (stew pot), or a poumié (jar), has a specific function in Provençal cooking.
The tian, also called a bugadière, is a very old type of popular Provençal pottery. In the past, it was used for everything, from carrying laundry to the washhouse to bathing a baby! Today, it is useful in the kitchen for mixing ingredients, preparing pastries, keeping cooked dishes warm... And on the table, it serves as a salad bowl with elegant rusticity, perfectly suited to Provençal and Mediterranean cuisine. The diameter of this model is 30 cm.
